Reset, Restart, Refocus: Healing from the Inside Out

You’ve come so far, and now it’s time to focus on you. Our 12-week program is here to help you rebuild from the inside out, reconnecting your mind, body, and spirit. Through a supportive and healing approach, we’ll walk with you as you process past trauma, regain emotional balance, and rediscover your inner strength. This is your time to heal, grow, and create the life you deserve—step by step, we’re here to guide you every way forward.

Why We Focus on Men

Our 12-week program is designed specifically to support men who have recently stabilized after homelessness. Men make up a significant portion of the unhoused population and often face unique challenges, including trauma, mental health struggles, and societal stigma. By focusing on this demographic, we can address these specific needs and provide tailored support that helps men rebuild their lives with confidence and strength.

While we’re currently dedicating our resources to men, we believe in supporting all individuals on their journey toward stability. In the future, we aim to expand our reach and collaborate with organizations that support people of all genders, ages, and backgrounds, ensuring that everyone has access to the help they deserve.

A New Chapter Begins

Take a moment to pause—you’ve come so far and overcome more than you ever thought possible. Now is the time to breathe, focus on your well-being, and embrace the strength you’ve built. This journey is about healing, growth, and moving forward with renewed purpose, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Reset: Build Your Foundation

The first phase is about finding stability. You’ll focus on calming your mind and body, addressing past trauma, and creating a strong foundation of safety and trust that will support your growth moving forward.

Restart: Rewire for Strength

In this phase, you’ll begin to reshape how you see yourself. You’ll focus on building resilience, overcoming limiting beliefs, and developing the inner strength needed to move forward with confidence and purpose.

Personal Growth

The final phase is about integrating the new you into daily life. You’ll work on visioning for the future, planning strategically, embracing sustained growth, and finding fulfillment in your progress.

Your 12-Week Journey to Healing

This 12-week program helps you reconnect with your mind, body, and spirit. Each phase builds on the last, guiding you to reset, restart, and refocus for a stronger future.

Week 1: Understanding Trauma and the Brain

Introduction to the impact of trauma on the brain and body.

Relevance

Many participants have experienced significant trauma, leading to homelessness. Understanding how trauma affects the brain and body is the first step toward healing.

Intended Outcome

Participants gain awareness of how trauma has shaped their experiences and learn the critical importance of addressing it to truly begin the healing process.

Activities

Interactive discussions, basic mindfulness exercises, and journaling to explore personal trauma and how it has impacted life decisions and emotional well-being.

Why This Matters

Recognizing the effects of trauma is the first step in breaking cycles of homelessness, reclaiming personal power, and beginning the journey to long-term stability.

Week 2: Building Safety and Trust

Introduction to techniques for establishing a sense of safety within oneself and in the environment.

Relevance

Many participants lack a consistent sense of safety. Establishing both internal and external safety is crucial for deep healing, building trust, and fostering recovery over time.

Intended Outcome

Participants develop a greater sense of security, which helps them engage more openly in the deeper healing process and begin trusting themselves and their environment.

Activities

This week involves somatic grounding exercises, trust-building practices, and group sharing to create internal stability and a stronger sense of external safety.

Why This Matters

Without safety, deeper emotional work is impossible. Building trust and safety ensures participants can engage fully in the healing journey with reduced fear.

Week 3: Reconnecting with the Body

Exploring the body-mind connection through somatic intelligence.

Relevance

Trauma is often held in the body, leading to stress and tension. Reconnecting with the body is essential to understanding the physical impact of trauma and healing.

Intended Outcome

Participants begin to recognize physical sensations tied to trauma, allowing them to understand and address the impact of trauma on their body in healthier ways.

Activities

Gentle movements, body awareness exercises, and breathing techniques help participants release stored tension and reconnect with their body’s natural state.

Why This Matters

Addressing how trauma is held in the body reduces chronic stress and paves the way for emotional healing, improving overall mental, physical, and emotional well-being.

Week 4: Emotional Awareness and Regulation

Developing emotional fluency and learning techniques to regulate emotions.

Relevance

Many participants struggle with regulating emotions due to trauma. Learning how to identify and manage emotions is key to avoiding emotional overwhelm and relapse.

Intended Outcome

Participants gain tools to identify, express, and regulate their emotions, leading to healthier responses to triggers and more stable emotional well-being.

Activities

Emotion identification, guided visualizations, and group discussions are used to teach emotional regulation in a safe, supportive, and understanding environment.

Why This Matters

Learning to regulate emotions helps reduce the lasting effects of trauma. Managing emotions is essential for long-term stability and creating healthier relationships.

Intended Outcome

Activities

Cognitive restructuring exercises, affirmations, and reflective journaling help participants break down harmful beliefs and replace them with empowering ones.

Why This Matters

Transforming limiting beliefs opens the door to new possibilities and self-empowerment, fostering hope and resilience in the journey to overcome homelessness.

Week 6: Rewiring the Brain for Success

Using neuroplasticity to create new, positive neural pathways.

Relevance

The brain’s ability to change and adapt (neuroplasticity) is key to long-term recovery. This week helps participants reshape their mindset and develop new ways of thinking.

Intended Outcome

Participants develop new mental habits that support personal growth and long-term success, fostering healthier behaviors, stronger resilience, and more positive life outcomes.

Activities

Brain-training exercises, visualization techniques, and goal-setting workshops actively encourage participants to explore and consistently practice new ways of thinking and acting.

Why This Matters

Rewiring the brain for success empowers participants to create lasting changes in their lives, leading to sustainable personal growth and resilience.

Week 7: Building Resilience

Techniques for building emotional and physical resilience.

Relevance

Resilience is essential for navigating life post-trauma. Participants need to develop skills to handle future challenges without returning to harmful patterns.

Intended Outcome

Participants gain confidence in their ability to face difficulties head-on, fostering a resilient mindset that views challenges as valuable opportunities for personal growth and transformation.

Activities

Resilience-building exercises, role-playing scenarios, and group support sessions provide practical tools to strengthen both emotional and physical resilience.

Why This Matters

A resilient mindset equips participants with the strength to confront challenges without falling back into destructive cycles, setting the stage for long-term success.

Week 8: Redefining Self-Concept

Shifting from a trauma-based identity to one of strength and potential.

Relevance

Many participants may have internalized a negative self-concept due to their experiences. This week focuses on helping them redefine their identity in a positive way.

Intended Outcome

Participants fully embrace a new, empowered self-identity, recognizing their inner strengths, capabilities, and potential as they continue to move forward in their recovery journey with confidence.

Activities

Identity reconstruction exercises, positive affirmation practices, and vision boarding sessions guide participants as they reshape how they view themselves, their future, and their long-term goals.

Intended Outcome

Participants craft detailed, actionable plans that outline the specific steps they need to take to achieve personal, financial, and professional goals aligned with their vision.

Activities

Strategic planning sessions, resource mapping, and peer accountability help participants create concrete strategies for turning their vision into achievable realities.

Why This Matters

A well-defined plan empowers participants to break down their goals into smaller, attainable steps, ensuring their path toward success is clear and manageable.

Week 11: Implementing New Behaviors

Putting new skills and behaviors into practice in daily life.

Relevance

True growth requires consistently applying new behaviors in everyday life, ensuring that participants turn their newly acquired skills into lasting and transformative habits.

Intended Outcome

Participants begin seeing positive changes as they apply new habits and skills in real-world situations, reinforcing their progress and building long-term confidence.

Activities

Real-world practice assignments, peer coaching, and self-assessment exercises offer opportunities for participants to implement what they’ve learned in daily interactions.

Why This Matters

Consistent practice of new behaviors solidifies participants' growth, ensuring that they can maintain their progress and apply their learning after the program ends.

Week 12: Reflection and Moving Forward

Reflecting on the journey and preparing for continued growth.

Relevance

Reflection helps participants consolidate their learning, celebrate their achievements, and prepare for long-term growth as they transition out of the program.

Intended Outcome

Participants feel proud of their progress, equipped with the tools to maintain their growth, and ready to continue their journey of personal development and success.
